The AMT-1 - The Armament Maintenance Tool is a base and/or deployable hydraulic assisted maintenance tool for the AH-64 Apache Gun Turret.
The Need -a convenient, safe and efficient removal and replacement of the AH-64 Apache’s gun turret which currently requires the involvement of numerous individuals and considerable time.
The Problem - when the need to maintain certain sensitive aircraft avionics are required the aircraft’s gun turret must be removed. When maintenance of gun and/or turret mechanism is required, the gun turret most oftenly is removed to gain proper access to all components.
The Solution -The AMT-1 Armament Maintenance Tool is a specially engineered service tool designed for the easy removal and
installation of the AH-64 Apache gun turret. Allowing personnel complete access to the 30mm gun, its operating turret and the avionic stores located in the airframe above the gun turret.
