The CvI MSU (Liquid Oxygen Multiple Service Unit) - is a patented, special purpose sub-cooler designed to provide an efficient means of transferring Liquid Oxygen (LOX) from storage tanks to aircraft LOX converters during off-aircraft converter servicing. The MSU enables rapid liquid transfer particularly under high ambient temperature conditions such as experienced during desert and tropical military operations such as Desert Storm.

The MSU is a man-portable, manually operated unit consisting of a main inlet connection to the storage tank hose, an inner heat transfer vessel and four flexible outlet hoses terminating in modified CRU-59/E quick disconnect coupling valves for attachment to individual converters. Weight approximately 55 pounds.

The MSU is capable of servicing up to four ten liter GCU/27 converters simultaneously from various storage tanks such as the standard 400, 2000 or 5000 gallon capacities.
