The NBSS-3 is a uniquely designed servicing kit allowing it to be operated in a mixed service environment. It provides a source of stored high pressure nitrogen gas in a very lightweight, man-portable backpack cylinder which can be carried to the exact point of need, regardless of vehicle location or location of the service point on the vehicle.

The NBSS-3 is a portable storage source for high pressure nitrogen gas complete with a rugged high impact resistant copolymer storage/transportation case, lightweight backpack harness and two adjustable service control kits. System supply hoses and cylinder have a QDC Connectors.

The service controls consists of a Low Pressure Service Kit (0-150 psi), and a High Pressure Service Kit (0-4500 psi.) The NBSS can be easily operated on a local base tarmac as well as deployed for use at remote forward bases.

To operate, the NBSS-3 must first have a stored volume of nitrogen gas supplied to its high pressure cylinder from an external source of regulated nitrogen gas, such as a MANCS, MNG, SNG, SGNSC, GANG or other cylinder fill station with a high pressure nitrogen source.

With a charged cylinder installed onto its lightweight backpack harness and service controls attached, the NBSS-3 is ready to service aircraft or other equipment by delivering a portable supply of nitrogen gas directly to the point of service.
